Why You Should Buy Organic

The number one question I get when I tell people I work for an organic food company is “Why is organic food so expensive?” The second question I get is “Why should I buy organic?” Hopefully this information will answer both those questions. My usually response is “It’s better for the environment, and you body in the long run.” But there are more concrete reasons organic food is beneficial to your life. First off, organic food forbids the use of genetically-engineered ingredients, often known as GMOs (genetically-modified organisms). GMOs are species that have been altered, manipulated and designed in a laboratory, and foreign genes, have been inserted into them. Nearly 80% of the foods on supermarket shelves contain GMOs, and nearly all of the corn, soy and canola in the U.S. is genetically-modified. A Vegetarian Lifestyle

All the products at eSutras Organics are vegetarian. We also have lots of products that are vegan as well. We here at eSutras support all types of lifestyles and we think vegetarianism is a very beneficial choice. Being a vegetarian also gives you certain health benefits over omnivores. A vegetarian diet tends to be healthier than most diets because vegetarians eat more fruits and veggies as a substitute. Most vegetarians are more aware of what goes into their bodies whereas lots of people who eat meat don’t check to see particularly what is in their food. A notable example is the now media-villianized “pink slime”. Pink slime is essentially a byproduct created from low-quality beef trimmings and connective tissue , treated with ammonia gas to kill bacteria. Uproa
