Good morning everyone! Time for the weekly healthy recipe! Today's treat is a really simple, yet very tasty Oatmeal Chocolate Breakfast Bar. A great snack for kids and adults alike. Perfect for a quick breakfast on the go. Pair it with a tall glass of milk to ensure your family is getting a great, nutritious breakfast.
 


 
Oatmeal Chocolate Breakfast Bars
(
Serves 15 to 20 bars, Preparation time 10 minutes)

You will need:

  •     2 cups oats
  •     1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of eSutras sesame flour
  •     1/4 cup milled eSutras flax 
  •     6 tablespoons eSutras Organic Cane sugar
  •     1 teaspoon eSutras Cinnamon Bark
  •     1/2 teaspoon salt
  •     1 cup apple juice
  •     1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •     1/2 cup pureed bananas  
  •     1/2 cup eSutras Organic Vegan Dark Chips
  •     2 tblspns of eSutras Gourmet Culinary Soybean Oil

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a bowl, mix together oats, flour, flax, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

2. Coat 9" x 13" pan with about 2 tblspns of eSutras Gourmet Culinary Soybean Oil.
3. Mix apple juice, pureed bananas, and vanilla extract into dry ingredients. Batter will be sticky, and you might have to mix by hand in the end. Mix in chocolate chips. 
4. Press into pan and bake for 30 minutes.  Cool and cut. These store very well in the fridge. Heat one of these up morning, noon, or night with a cup of tea and you are set!
