Home Remedies

There are tons of natural ways to heal everyday ailments. Going to the doctor, waiting hours to be seen, and paying extraordinary prices for chemically processed medicine...it’s all a hassle. Stress from this process might even aggravate your condition making it worse! So I’ve decided to every so often make a post about a specific ailment and eSutras Organics all natural way of helping to heal you! It’s a small way to help, but I hope I can help anyone who needs it!
Gout
Gout is a sometimes painful join inflammation caused by high levels of uric acid in your blood stream. Uric acid is a chemical which is a natural part of the normal breaking down and building up of food and body tissues.  Normally, uric acid is dissolved in the blood and passed through the kidneys into the urine, where it is eliminated. It commonly affects the big toe, but it can strike in many other joints. You should avoid certain food and drinks because they tend to aggravate the infection. The list of prohibited food includes:
  • Offal foods such as liver, kidneys, tripe, sweetbreads and tongue
  • Excessive amounts of red meat
  • Shellfish, fish roe and scallops
  • Peas, lentils and beans
  • Alcoholic beverages
Foods you can eat include: Raisins, wheat, ginger, and milk. These foods are low in purines, which convert to uric acid when consumed.
eSutras Organics has a couple of suggested remedies, though. Try making a tea of Juniper Berry and Nettles. One teaspoon each of Juniper berries and Nettle leaf boiled with 5 cups of water. Drink as much as possible. Juniper is a diuretic herb known to lower level of uric acid. It also has anti-inflammatory properties beneficial to arthritis, which affects joints similar to gout. Nettle leaf facilitates the movement of uric acid in the joints and helps elimination through the kidneys.
Another solution we think would do wonders would be Ashwagandha and Kava root capsules. Two a day would be our recommended dosage.

Mother Earth, Mother Nature, We the Children & Easter

Did you know the first Greek God was actually a Goddess?. he is Gaia, or Mother Earth, who created herself out of primordial chaos. From her fertile womb all life sprang, and unto Mother Earth all living things must return after their allotted span of life is over. Gaia, as Mother Nature, personifies the entire ecosystem of Planet Earth.
Mother Nature is always working to achieve and maintain harmony, wholeness and balance within the environment. Mother Nature heals, nurtures and supports all life on this planet, and ultimately all life and health depend on Her. In time, Nature heals all ills.
The way of Mother Gaia is the passive, feminine, Yin way of healing. All we need to do to regain our health is to return to the bosom of Mother Nature and live in accordance with Her laws.
The Gaia archetype underlies all notions of the Nature Cure. Mother Nature is a healing goddess for the ancients whose glory was celebrated each spring, long before organized religion came into play.
