Bark!

Previously I blogged about how great the roots of plants are. They have ayurvedic healing properties and spectacular health benefits that, although accepted and cultivated in the ancient world, the modern world is more concerned with chemical products. I want to give more information about the healing properties of plants. Today’s focus: bark! The bark of certain trees/plants holds many nutrients the roots or flower of the plant don’t have. Not only do we use it for products like spices and other flavorings, medicines, poisons, and cork can be derived from tree bark. Bark has also been used to make cloths, canoes, ropes, even paper. Bark can even be recycled and used as mulch for gardens! Here are a few eSutras Organics products that have this amazing, natural ingredient:

· eSutras Organics Albizzia Bark – Albizzia is thought to enhance all aspects of neurotransmitter secretion and regulation. However, because of its blood-moving properties, it is contraindicated for use during pregnancy.

· eSutras Organics Cinnamon Bark Select e.o. - A warm, spicy aroma. It is germicidal, antiseptic, and antifungal. Add a bit of cinnamon leaf, orange and clove to a diffuser or potpourri to purify the air and add a touch of warmth to your home. STRONG skin irritant, so it’s not recommended to apply directly to skin.

· eSutras Organics Ashoka Bark - Asoka is cooling, bitter, astringent, restoring complexion, and is styptic. It matures and balances the Doshas in Ayurveda. One of the three herbs connected with the Goddess Parvathy, this herb has a long mystical tradition for its usefulness in treating most uterine disorders and diseases of blood.

· eSutras Organics Cinnamon Bark Powder - Cinnamon bark is a stimulating, warming herb that improves circulation and is helpful in strengthening and supporting a weak digestive system.

· eSutras Organics Muira Puama Bark - It is a useful remedy for low libido, and also for menstruation related cramps. The bark of the tree has also been known to be helpful with nervous exhaustion and depression, and indigenous South Americans consider it a tonic for the nervous system.

eSutras Organics has lot’s more supplements and botanicals that includes the super product bark. Check out the site and improve your life with this great natural item!
