Root Power!

Plants are beautiful, useful parts of our lives. Whether for health reasons, decoration, or just plain eating them we use plants in almost every aspect. We need oxygen in the air we breathe. Plants take in the carbon dioxide releases oxygen, keeping the air we breathe full of oxygen. Plants are also a huge source of vitamins and minerals we couldn’t get from other foods. All in all we need/love plants. We use every single aspect of the plant, too. One major part we use is the root. The root contains many vitamins the flesh of the plant doesn’t contain. Did you know the potato and carrots are roots?? Here are a few roots eSutras Organics offers that have great health benefits:

· eSutras Organics Bala RootLiterally meaning youth in Sanskrit, this herb is priceless for its multi various applications. A powerful cell nourishing and cell re-generating herb, Bala is used to maintain youth and vitality. Uses of this herb in Ayurveda are usually as a cardiac stimulant.

· eSutras Organics Astragalus RootThis herb increases the number of stem cells in bone marrow, and encourages their maturity into active white blood cells. It appears to help signal the white blood cells known as neutrophils to migrate to places they are needed to fight infection. It stimulates the 'germ-eating' white blood cells known as macrophages, activates T-cells and natural killer (NIK) cells, and increases the production of immune globulins.

· eSutras Organics Burdock Root Powder- Burdock root contains high amounts of insulin and mucilage. This may explain its soothing effects on the gastrointestinal tract. Bitter constituents in the root may also explain the traditional use of burdock to improve digestion. Burdock root and fruit also have the ability to slightly lower blood sugar

· eSutras Organics Calamus Root (whole)– Used universally in herbal medicine, this root is attributed with shamanic qualities in Native American folk medicine. The rhizome has an intensely aromatic fragrance and a tangy, pungent and bitter taste. In Ayurveda Calamus is considered an aromatic, bitter tonic which stimulates appetite and digestion and is a nervine sedative.

Partake of the beautiful Lotus to inspire your mind. It sedates and seduces..

Lotus - Its God's favorite flower...Its mysticism may also be linked to the  mild narcotic or sedative effects   from flowers that are eaten, smoked or steeped in wine and drank. Also called the world's most beautiful flower, the lotus is the most sacred, and it seems there never was a time when man did not adore it.....Of all the myriad buds and blooms, the most revered and esteemed--by God and man--is the magnificent lotus in the sub continent and all across China and Japan. According to Buddhism and Hinduism, within each human inhabiting the earth is the spirit of the sacred lotus. It represents eternity, purity and divinity and is widely used as a symbol of life, fertility, ever-renewing youth and to describe feminine beauty, especially the eyes. One of the most common metaphysical analogies compares the lotus' perennial rise to faultless beauty from a miry environment to the evolution of man's consciousness--from instinctive impulses to spiritual liberation.
