Valentine’s Day DIY

When it come to Valentine’s Day it’s not the price of the gift or how many gifts you give someone, it’s the thought that you care about them that counts. That’s why the DIY (Do it yourself) approach is always, I feel, the better way to go. When you devote time and effort into a gift the person receiving it is shown that you actually sat and thought of what would make them happy, instead of a last minute, hastily bought, expensive gift.

And what’s more, buying tons of decoration, gift wrapping, and other hurriedly disposed of products are contributing to waste. Showing your special someone you care WHILE also adding to our environmental problems is not so sweet. Here are a few unique Valentine’s Day gift ideas and decoration ideas that are affordable, green, and from the heart.

· Lollipop Flowers: This DIY gift is inexpensive and perfect for kids Valentine’s Day parties. All you need is construction paper, glue, and lots of lollipops! Cut out Valentine themed shapes from the construction paper, and glue them to the wrapping of the lollipops. Simple and tasty!

· Rose Bath Salt: eSutras Organics has an amazing bath salt that just so happens to be perfect for a special Valentine’s Day spa day! Put the salt into a muslin bag and drop into the water while it’s running to release the aromatic and skin softening elements our bath salt has.

· Vegan Chocolate Chips – eSutras Organics has a one of a kind products that environmentally friendly as well as tasty. Our vegan chocolate is made with no animal by products and is tastier than any regular chocolate you’ll find in the grocery aisle. What say “I care” better than respecting your loved one’s beliefs? Take it one step further and incorporate these delicious chocolates into a vegan-friendly recipe!

Mother Earth, Mother Nature, We the Children & Easter

Did you know the first Greek God was actually a Goddess?. he is Gaia, or Mother Earth, who created herself out of primordial chaos. From her fertile womb all life sprang, and unto Mother Earth all living things must return after their allotted span of life is over.  Gaia, as Mother Nature, personifies the entire ecosystem of Planet Earth.  Mother Nature is always working to achieve and maintain harmony, wholeness and balance within the environment. Mother Nature heals, nurtures and supports all life on this planet, and ultimately all life and health depend on Her. In time, Nature heals all ills. The way of Mother Gaia is the passive, feminine, Yin way of healing. All we need to do to regain our health is to return to the bosom of Mother Nature and live in accordance with Her laws. The Gaia archetype underlies all notions of the Nature Cure. Mother Nature is a healing goddess for the ancients whose glory was celebrated each spring, long before organized religion came into...
