October is kick-off month for all upcoming
festive holidays. Leaves change to so many different beautiful colors,
nature is practically decorating itself for the holidays. With All
Hollow’s Eve just around the corner, Monday’s recipe will be a Halloween
specialty. Using lots of eSutras Organics yummy sugars and spices, your
family can healthily celebrate a holiday that’s not very popular for
its nutritional value!
Pumpkin Cookies
(Serves about 3 dozen *36 cookies*)
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons eSutras Organics cinnamon bark
- 1/2 teaspoon eSutras Organics nutmeg powder
- 1/2 teaspoon eSutras clove powder
- 1/2 teaspoon eSutras Organics clove salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups eSutras Organics organic cane sugar
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- eSutras Organics Pumpkin Pie Spice
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt; set aside.
- In a medium bowl, cream together the 1/2 cup of butter and organic sugar. Add pumpkin puree, egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla to butter mixture, and beat until creamy. Mix in dry ingredients. Drop on cookie sheet by tablespoonfuls; flatten slightly.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool cookies, and then sprinkle eSutras Organics Pumpkin Pie Spice on top.
