Stay Fit Year Round!

Summer is gone, autumn is here, winter is just around the corner…but that's no excuse to slack in the fitness department. Every spring/summer we see tons of advertisements about slimming down for bikini season, or losing those pounds you packed on during the winter. How about keeping your fitness regime year round?! Understandable colder weather comes with those holidays that are prone to eating fatty foods. There is a way to still have a happy and traditional family feast without gorging on greasy food.
  • Try smaller portions:
Just because it's Thanksgiving and there's enough food to feed a small village, doesn't mean you have to pile everything on your plate. If your Thanksgiving is anything like the one's my family throws there will be tons of different varieties of food. Try to have a small amount of everything and you'll be full before you know it. Besides there will be leftovers for weeks afterwards, whatever you didn't get a chance to try on Thanksgiving, you'll enjoy next week for lunch!
  • Less saturated fat:
Saturated fat has gotten a bad rep lately. And while saturated fats do have some health benefits (when combined with other healthy food like fruits and vegetables) the saturated fat I'm referring to actually refers to a category of saturated fat that includes a number of different fatty acids. Lauric acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid all classified as saturated fats have different effects on different people, with different diets. But less of them are healthier in general for everyone. Although it is a bit harder to burn off saturated fat than most fats.
  • Diet Supplements:
No one is made the same. Different body types require different ways to lose weight or stay healthy. Some people benefit from things like diet supplements, which help decrease appetites. eSutras Organics offers a delicious diet supplement, eSutras Organics Cocoa Hoodia Diet Drink is the perfect blend of organic herbs that have appetite suppressing properties. Not to mention delicious organic cocoa!
  • Exercise:
There are a lot of ways to help lose weight and stay trim, but the old tried and true method of exercise is, in my opinion, the best. There are so many different ways to exercise: biking, jogging, or even going to a gym. Also, it works out many different part of your body inside and out! Any diet enhancing method should be used in addition to actual exercising.

Mother Earth, Mother Nature, We the Children & Easter

Did you know the first Greek God was actually a Goddess?. he is Gaia, or Mother Earth, who created herself out of primordial chaos. From her fertile womb all life sprang, and unto Mother Earth all living things must return after their allotted span of life is over.  Gaia, as Mother Nature, personifies the entire ecosystem of Planet Earth.  Mother Nature is always working to achieve and maintain harmony, wholeness and balance within the environment. Mother Nature heals, nurtures and supports all life on this planet, and ultimately all life and health depend on Her. In time, Nature heals all ills. The way of Mother Gaia is the passive, feminine, Yin way of healing. All we need to do to regain our health is to return to the bosom of Mother Nature and live in accordance with Her laws. The Gaia archetype underlies all notions of the Nature Cure. Mother Nature is a healing goddess for the ancients whose glory was celebrated each spring, long before organized religion came into play.

Of all the brain food snacks that will help improve memory and brain power, here are the top ones we recommend based on taste, cost, and ability to be eaten -and they can make you smarter, and help strengthen your brain.                                                                           Avocado, Blueberries, Coffee, Dark Chocolate,  Extra Virgin Coconut oil, Green Tea, Pumpkin Seeds, Red Wine, Spinach,Walnuts,  and of course Veggies... Spinach, kale, broccoli and other leafy green vegetables are rich in many brain-loving nutrients.                         Adults who ate just 13 grams of walnuts every day performed significantly better on cognitive tests than those who didn't, and so walnuts have been added to the growing list of foods for geniuses.  F ish is a great source of omega-3, the type of fatty acid your body can't produce, and it's good for your brain. At least twice a week, eat five ounces of omega-3-rich fish, such as salmon, cod, haddock, tuna or
